Your Law Instructor
Filipa Paes is a doctoral candidate in law at the University of Oxford. Her doctoral research focuses on analytic legal theory and philosophical logic.
She completed her law degree with first class honours from the University of Kent, where she won the Stantons Prize for highest ranking student in her graduating class, the Davis, Simmonds & Donaghey Prize for best performance in the law school, and the Hallet Prize for best dissertation.
Filipa currently co-convenes the Oxford Jurisprudence Discussion Group and is a founding and executive member of the Collective of Women in Legal Philosophy. She has taught law for over five years and is a passionate mentor of law school applicants and aspirants.
