Your Law Instructor
Dr. Ivo Gruev holds a doctorate in law from the University of Oxford, and holds two postgraduate law degrees (MSt, MJur) from the same institution. He is currently a research fellow for the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford.
He has taught law at the University of Oxford and Stanford University, and has provided legal counsel for the United Nations, the International Criminal Court at the Hague, the European Directorate of the German Parliament, and the Directorate of the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice.
He is currently convenor of the Oxford Transitional Justice Research Network and a researcher on the JUDICON-EU project. He was previously chairman of Oxford Pro Bono Publico and president of the Grand Union Scholars Association.

Your Law Instructor
Filipa Paes is a doctoral candidate in law at the University of Oxford. Her doctoral research focuses on analytic legal theory and philosophical logic.
She completed her law degree with first class honours from the University of Kent, where she won the Stantons Prize for highest ranking student in her graduating class, the Davis, Simmonds & Donaghey Prize for best performance in the law school, and the Hallet Prize for best dissertation.
Filipa currently co-convenes the Oxford Jurisprudence Discussion Group and is a founding and executive member of the Collective of Women in Legal Philosophy. She has taught law at the University of Lisbon School of Law and is a passionate mentor of law school applicants and aspirants.
